The Troubling Indictment of Bishop Finn

After some reflection, I've decided to take this post down, because I don't think I did a good job in it of building up the Body of Christ. At this point, I think the most constructive thing that can happen is to encourage prayers and fasting for everyone involved. God bless!

  1. With regards to what your friend said, there is one thing the faithful can do. We can pray for all involved, but especially for Bishop Finn.

  4. Joe -

In a weird way I'm actually glad that I got to read what you wrote initially and also ultimately that you took down the post.

This has been a trying past 6 months for me, where I have gone from thinking I needed to leave the Church to desiring to recommit myself to my faith like never before. The reasons are numerous and not relevant now - I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do what you do because it has been a tremendous help to me. There were many things that I did not know before, or at least did not understand to the full extent. You do a wonderful job explaining things and show a tremendous amount of patience and kindness towards those that challenge and disagree. Also, I'm a physician and maybe it's just me, but I think that doctors and lawyers tend to think about things very differently - I enjoy seeing your perspective on a lot of these topics.

I will offer up some prayers of thanksgiving on your behalf for all you have already given me.

    Thanks - Jill
