With regards to what your friend said, there is one thing the faithful can do. We can pray for all involved, but especially for Bishop Finn.

ReplyDeleteIn a weird way I'm actually glad that I got to read what you wrote initially and also ultimately that you took down the post.
This has been a trying past 6 months for me, where I have gone from thinking I needed to leave the Church to desiring to recommit myself to my faith like never before. The reasons are numerous and not relevant now - I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to do what you do because it has been a tremendous help to me. There were many things that I did not know before, or at least did not understand to the full extent. You do a wonderful job explaining things and show a tremendous amount of patience and kindness towards those that challenge and disagree. Also, I'm a physician and maybe it's just me, but I think that doctors and lawyers tend to think about things very differently - I enjoy seeing your perspective on a lot of these topics.
I will offer up some prayers of thanksgiving on your behalf for all you have already given me.
Thanks - Jill
