So it seemed a bit too convenient for the antisemitic church to have Judas as the betrayer in order to break away with Judaism and Jews. I appreciate your honest study of the matter. Only thing missing now is for Judas to end up ruling over his 'brothers' the same as Joseph did.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999044146888823867.post-60237816289789732762011-08-09T13:47:58.563-05:002011-08-09T13:47:58.563-05:00No problem! It just gets my blood pressure up because they pack an amazing number of errors into a thirty minute slot.

I think someone who devoted their time to debunking silly things said about God or the Church on those two channels would have a full-time job on their hands.

It makes sense, though. Most people aren't watching TV to hear the Gospel. They want controversy! So the folks who make TV programs give it to them, even if they have to ignore the facts to do so.

God bless, and thanks for sparking a good discussion,

JoeJoe Heschmeyerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06998682878420098470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999044146888823867.post-5118827828091528492011-08-09T13:44:11.127-05:002011-08-09T13:44:11.127-05:00Thank you very much. Apparently the special I saw really was an example of a History Channel special "expert" saying ridiculous stuff. And I have to agree with Brent Stubbs, the Christian Slater analogy was priceless.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18007803964164238284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4999044146888823867.post-244570964300691792011-08-08T19:32:43.261-05:002011-08-08T19:32:43.261-05:00In fact, while we're on the subject, the last ...In fact, while we're on the subject, the last name “Slater” literally means one who splits rocks into pieces. By this same logic, perhaps we should conclude that the actor isn't an actual person, but an anti-Protestant literary device, since Protestants are the Christians who broke off from the Rock, and have split into countless denominations.

That gave me a very good laugh on a wearisome Monday. Someone should have sent Ss. Peter and John that memo before they went referring to it as 'Babylon', that most hated of cities.

That bit about Christian Slater's name was funny - have you heard that somewhere else, or is it original material? My hats off to you, if the latter!Chattohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14488939389859451887noreply@blogger.com
